A personal favourite, entering the Wallace collection is like stepping back in time. The Wallace family bequested the collection to the nation in 1900 and in remains entirely intact in the London family home. Explore each sumptuous room and admire the tastes of the Marquesses of Hertford who collected Italian greats such as Titan and Canaletto, Dutch Masters such as Rembrandt and Frans Hal and French Roccoco pieces from the Court of Versailles. Also from Versailles you will find Royal furniture, Boule clocks and the most exquisite Sevres porcelain. Kenwood House
A hidden gem in the north of London, Kenwood is definitely worth an excursion. Windsor Castle
The world’s largest and oldest inhabited castle, it really has to be seen to be believed. Just 40 m minutes from London and you are transported to Windsor Great Park and the Queen’s favourite residence, where she spends her weekends. Explore the majestic State Rooms where Royal Banquets take place, St George’s Chapel where Harry and Megan married, and see the Changing of the Guard. Windsor itself is a charming town and just a stones throw across the bridge is Eton, a historic village and home to the famous Eton College that has educated 19n Prime Minsters.
Hampton Court Palace
Henry VIII’s party palace, this place really has to be seen to be believed. Located on the banks of the River Thames, the massive red brick castle dominates the local countryside.
